Actividad verbal, textos y discursos. Por un interaccionismo socio-discursivo Jean-Paul Bronckart Price: 18€ 220 pp | ISBN: 84-95264-05-6 | Published October 2004 View this book's contents in GoogleBooks
This work synthesizes the author’s theoretical approach, based on the theoretical principles of socio-discoursive interactionism and on the research work carried with his colleagues at Geneva University using as sample 120 real textual productions. The first part, dealing with texts as social productions, shows that verbal activity is at the same time founder of “represented worlds” in which human knowledge and the thinking, conscious, and responsible “human person’s” knowledge are organized. It also shows that this activity develops under multiple text genres adapted to the frameworks of social forms and to the characteristics of specific production situations. The second part focuses on the description of the texts’ internal arquitecture by proposing, first, an analysis of the different types of discourse (narrative, story, interactive discourse, theoretical discourse), and of the different types of sequences that form part of a text composition. This is followed by a description of textualization mechanisms (connection, nominal cohesion, verbal cohesion) that contribute to texts’ thematic coherence, and enunciative responsibility mechanisms that confer texts their pragmatic or interactive coherence.
