Useful tips for agencies and bookstores
Always provide your customers with our subscription number (in the form 51xxxx). That is the code that will enable us to correctly identify their subscription, specially in order to grant online access (read the Terms and conditions and Online subscription activation sections).
Always provide end customers' full, specially institution name and email address. This is very important for the following reasons:
1) Online access activation process improves substantially, regarding both speed and security, if agency-provided end customer data match customer-provided activaction claims data
2) Subscription processes sometimes result in institutions cancelling their subscriptions and ordering them again; if subscription agencies or libraries have not provided end customers' data is is highly likely that the customers will experience inconveniences and trouble with their subscriptions (not benefitting from special discounts for being subscribed to two journals, or lose online access privileges, for instance)
3) FIA is constantly looking for ways to improve our services to our mutual customers. Market knowledge (institutions names) and contact with end customers (prior agency or bookstore consent) is of great help in our endeavor for service improvement
FIA is committed to make no use of end customer data that goes against the subscription agency's or bookstore's interests, or that jeopardize their role as sole subscription provider. In no event will FIA contact end costumers without prior consent from the subscription agency or bookstore..
