Zotero is a Firefox extension designed for storing, organizing, citing and sharing research sources. Zotero not only allows storage of scholarly papers, but also websites, images, links... A feature especially useful in current research, more and more reliable on non-academic sources.

Zotero combines the functions of reference management software such as EndNote (storing fields such as author, title, and other relevant bibliographic information) with those of current applications such as iTunes or del.icio.us (tags, advance searches, etc.); as well as the advantages of online (automatic field updates, web resources integration) and offline applications (communications with applications such as Word and OpenOffice).
